COMMISSIONS

Ausform runs a commission called the...

'Blue Flower Commission'

It is a small, but growing seed-commission to plant an idea or challenge an artist to work with an idea or with another artist to show at one of our events or platforms.

It is called the Blue Flow Commission because it first happend in May 2010 for Ausform at Mayfest. Natasha Fewings was asked to create a short piece devised around the German myth of the 'blue flower'. We thought the idea worked so well we decided to keep the name.

Previous commissions:

Isabelle Cressy - Dance/Poetry - 2011
To work with Edward Rapley to create a choreography encorporating Edward's live-reading of Bukowski Poetry. For Bukowski Night.

Sedated By A Brick - Live Art - 2010
To create a Birthday Performance for Ausform's First Birthday Party.

Natasha Fewings - Dance - 2010
To create a short dance solo taking the German myth of the 'Blue Flower' as inspiration.

2012's Blue Flower Commissions are yet to be announced.
